Essjay Consulting Engineers provide environmental reporting and assessment for your building/s in greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, energy consumption and waste generation.
Our team will carry out a thorough audit to identify improvement opportunities such as behavioural changes or system upgrades. We also specialise in providing recommendations to sustainability reporting. We will work with you at every step of the way to help you achieve the required certification.
Green Star
We have a specialised team of Green Star Accredited professionals (GSAP) to help you achieve the targeted Green Star certification. We can provide sound advice on the certification process as well as the document requirements. With a holistic understanding of the Green Star design requirements, we help you in achieving your sustainability objectives.
WELL
WELL is an internationally-recognised tool that has become a standard for improving health and well-being of users in a building. Our skilled building design consultants can incorporate design elements that promote productivity and happiness whilst enhancing the health benefits of the building’s occupants.
NABERS
NABERS is a yearly rating system for water, energy, waste and indoor environment. Our NABERS Accredited Assessors will assess the performance of whole buildings base buildings and fitouts. We will monitor and assess the performance of the installed systems to identify the areas for improvement to reduce consumption.
BESS
The Built Environment Sustainability Scorecard (BESS) is a standard that is used for assessing the sustainability factors of project design for council compliance. Our design team can provide advice on aspects of water, management, energy, IEQ, waste, stormwater, transport and urban ecology. We can also help develop unique sustainability initiatives. Our team also specialises in document preparation for BESS and can help you with the application process.
Council Compliance
We are here to help you prepare Sustainability Management Plans for council approval. The requirements varies from council to council and depends on the nature of the project. We aim to address specific local stipulations and integrate environmental requirements. We also conduct stormwater quality assessments for council compliance whilst providing sound advice on choosing rainwater tanks and raingardens etc.
GRESB
The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is a yearly benchmarking survey aimed at showcasing the sustainability attributes of developers and property owners. It assesses the social, environmental and governance initiatives of the organisation and their buildings. The performance is globally benchmarked to award a GRESB score at the end of the assessment.
NCC BCA Assessment
We specialise in offering Deemed to Satisfy (DTS) assessments whilst enhancing building fabric and glazing systems. If the DTS assessment results are found to be impractical, we aim to provide a resolution through JV3 modelling. We seek to maintain a fine balance between project costs and environmental performance to help meet your vision for the project.
